Business broadband, not home broadband with a different bill.

You get a proper service level, business-grade support, static IPs where you need them, and a fault process that doesn't begin with turning the router off and on again.

What it is

Business broadband differs from a consumer line in the things you only notice when something breaks. Faults get a target fix time rather than a best effort. Support understands what a static IP is. And you're not competing with an entire street for bandwidth at seven in the evening.

We check what's genuinely available at your postcode — full fibre, FTTC, or a 4G or 5G alternative where the fibre hasn't arrived — and tell you honestly what speeds to expect. Advertised speeds and delivered speeds are different things, and we'd rather have that conversation before you sign.

Who it suits

Anyone still running a business on a consumer line, which is more common than you'd think, particularly in converted or rural premises. Also anyone whose calls or card payments drop out, or who runs several sites through several different providers and spends time working out which one to shout at.

When an outage actually costs money

For sites where being offline stops work, we can add a mobile backup connection that takes over automatically. It's not expensive and it turns a lost morning into a brief slowdown.

Multi-site businesses are handled as one account with one bill and one number to call, rather than four providers each pointing at the others.

If your premises has good full fibre available and downtime is merely annoying rather than costly, standard business broadband is almost certainly enough. Leased lines are a bigger step and we'll say so.

Common questions

Things people ask us about this.

How do we find out what speed we can actually get?

Send us your postcode and we'll check what's available at the address, not just the area. Coverage can differ between two units on the same estate.

Can we keep our existing phone system?

Usually yes. If your phone system runs over the internet we'll factor that into the connection we recommend, since voice is more sensitive to a wobbly line than most things.

How long does installation take?

It depends entirely on what infrastructure already exists at your address. Where fibre is present it is considerably quicker than where new cabling has to be installed. We'll check your specific site and give you a realistic date rather than an optimistic one.

Not sure if this is what you need?

Tell us what you need and we'll give you a straight answer, including whether we're the right fit.
